Digital Governance Push in Rajasthan’s Health Education
The Rajasthan government has launched “e-Swasthya Samvad” , a dedicated digital communication platform designed to strengthen governance and coordination within the state’s medical education system. The initiative reflects Rajasthan’s broader push towards technology-enabled administration to improve healthcare delivery, transparency and institutional efficiency.
Leadership and Policy Vision
The platform has been introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Medical Education Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar . Officials stated that e-Swasthya Samvad is intended to create a structured and responsive communication channel between the government and medical education institutions, ensuring faster execution of policy decisions and better oversight of health programmes.
Real-Time Digital Interface
According to Principal Secretary (Medical Education) Gayatri Rathore , the platform will act as a central digital interface connecting policymakers, administrators and frontline healthcare institutions. By enabling real-time interaction and monitoring, the system aims to reduce administrative delays, improve inter-departmental coordination and ensure timely resolution of operational challenges.
Weekly Interactive Sessions
Medical Education Commissioner Naresh Goyal explained that e-Swasthya Samvad sessions will be conducted twice a week — every Tuesday and Thursday — through video conferencing . Each session will be held in two phases. The first phase will involve senior officials such as medical college principals, medical superintendents, principal medical officers and department heads. The second phase will allow open interaction with faculty members, doctors, nursing staff, students and even members of the public.
Accountability and Grievance Redressal
The platform will address issues related to budget announcements, CMO directives, CMIS and CP-Grams grievances, infrastructure development, equipment procurement and implementation of health schemes . Stakeholders can submit concerns in advance through online forms. Decisions taken during meetings will be digitally recorded, and concerned officials must submit action-taken reports within 72 hours , strengthening accountability.
