- Occurrence: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) delivered the first of the eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts (ASW SWC) to the Indian Navy which were made in India.
- Ceremony: Signature between Dr S. Harikrishnan (CSL) and Commander Amit Chandra Choubey. Presided over by Rear Admiral R. Adhisrinivasan and senior naval officers.
Vessel Details:
- Length: 78 metres; propulsion: diesel engine-waterjet.
- Multi-mission: underwater surveillance, anti-submarine operations, search and rescue, mine-laying.
- A certification: Compliant with the Det Norske Veritas (DNV) standards.
- Local Content: Aatma Nirbhar Bharat initiative sources more than 90% of its components in India.
