Delhi Declaration on Local Action to Global Climate Goals-Before COP30

• Action: ARISE Cities First Forum, New Delhi; declaration presented to COP30, Belém, Brazil.
• Theme: “From Bharat to Belém” - developing homegrown climate action.
• Participants: 200 and above delegates representing 60 cities and 25 countries (government, business, and non-government organisations).

Core Commitments:

• Further local climate action by means of measurable, resourced NDCs.
• Enhance urban resilience through adaptation, cyclical economy, and natural solutions.
• Make green transitions just and participatory towards net-zero.
• Empower people, women, young, and communities in climate governance.
• Enhance multilevel governance and open information systems.
• Move climate finance and increase access at city level.
• Leadership of the Champion Global South by means of South-South and triangular cooperation.

Categories of Focus: Sustainable urban infrastructure, clean mobility, urban heat management, disaster management, circular water and waste, sustainable food system, digital planning tools, and governance innovations.
