Anokhi Duniya-World First Ceramic wastage park in Khurja

 

The government of Uttar Pradesh has also introduced a new break-through project through the establishment of the first in the world park named Anokhi Duniya , the first park to be constructed out of absolutely all ceramic waste. The park will be opened by the end of September 2025 located in Khurja, Bulandshahr district, the ceramic capital of India. It presents sustainability, ancient craftsmanship as well as innovation and sells the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme of the state.

Project Overview

Anokhi Duniya is a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model which is spread over two acres . Over 80 tonnes of disused ceramic waste have been redesigned into innovative installations and art pieces that now is a cultural and environmental attraction.

Meaning and Internationality.

The park emphasizes the creativity of recycled materials. Ceramic artwork has been created to a near count of 100 separate pieces , and 28 of these large-scale installations have been constructed using broken pitchers, cups, kettles and tiles. It took the efforts of a group of six artists and 120 craftsmen . These installations are not only contributing to sustainable waste management but also contributing to the objectives of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which focuses on cleanliness and environmental responsibility.

Visitor Experience/Design.

Anokhi Duniya is meant to be a cultural and recreational center to all visitors. It includes colorful ceramic exhibits, photo spots, green areas and a cafe and makes it more attractive as a tourist attraction. The park is also targeted at the national and international visitors, which will provide the platform to demonstrate the ceramic artistry of Khurja in the international arena.

The Economic and Cultural Effect.

The park costed 5.86 crore and is likely to provide employment to people in the artisan sector, as well as to the local economy. The low entry cost to it makes it accessible and offers funds to maintain it. The project enhances Indian culture and craftsmanship within the global markets by establishing Khurja as one of the world cultural centres of ceramics.

Government Vision

The project is an embodiment of the wider vision of the Yogi Adityanath government of integrating ancient industries with current environmentally friendly methods. Turning the ceramic waste into artistic work, Anokhi Duniya can be used as an example of the environmentally friendly development and improvement of the Indian image of the innovative and cultural nation.
