Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam 2025: Celebrating Telugu Music, Craft Traditions and Cultural Tourism in Vijayawada
The Ministry of Tourism , in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sangeet Natak Akademi , is organising the third edition of Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam in Vijayawada on 6–7 December 2025 . Supported by Andhra Pradesh Tourism and the State Department of Culture, the festival underscores the richness of Telugu musical heritage while strengthening the state’s cultural identity and boosting music-led tourism.
Festival Launch and Cultural Objectives
The event will be inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Kandula Durgesh , joined by senior officials and public representatives. The 2025 theme focuses on promoting Andhra Pradesh’s classical music ecosystem, empowering artisans and weavers, and positioning Vijayawada as an emerging cultural capital for Carnatic traditions.
Concert Line-up and Special Offerings
Across two days, 18 concerts featuring 98 eminent and upcoming artists will be held at Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram . A highlight of the festival is the Pancharatna Kritis rendition at Durga Ghat at dawn on 7 December , led by the Malladi Brothers , accompanied by faculty and students from government music colleges in Vijayawada and Guntur.
Outreach Through Prequel Concerts
To broaden public engagement statewide, three prelude concerts were held at iconic temples— Srikalahasti (29 November) , Simhachalam (1 December) and Srisailam (2 December) . These performances spotlighted devotional and classical formats, building cultural momentum ahead of the main event.

Craft Pavilion and Tourism Promotion
A curated craft exhibition will display Andhra Pradesh’s renowned traditional and GI-tagged products, including Kondapalli toys, Etikoppaka lacquerware, Udayagiri cutlery, leather puppetry, Narsapur lace , and celebrated handloom clusters like Mangalagiri and Venkatagiri . The initiative supports Vocal for Local , enabling artisans to connect with a wider audience. Local tourism bodies and hotels are collaborating to enhance visitor experience and position the festival as a major cultural attraction.
