Govt. and Zomato Sign MoU to Provide Employment.
- Government of India entered into an MoU with Zomato to post up to 2.5 lakh gig opportunities in a year on the National Career Service (NCS) portal.
- Zomato will indicate on the portal under a new category Aggregator, flexible positions of delivery partners.
- The project is expected to institutionalize gig work, which will enable the workers to have a more significant access to the social security systems as well as stability.
- This is a huge policy change, as platform-based jobs are now accepted as a real form of employment and it encourages people to grow together.
Bharti Airtel Collaborates with IBM to use Cloud services.
- Bharti Airtel has also collaborated with IBM in providing advanced cloud services in India via Airtel cloud platform.
- The relocation is aimed at rising demand of the secure and localized cloud solutions based on the AI boom and the data sovereignty laws in India.
- The collaboration will offer business solutions, IBM hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence solutions, and industry-specific solutions, deployed on Airtel local infrastructure to have low latency and high security.
- This will consolidate the Airtel presence in the business market and will provide IBM with more opportunities to access the fast-growing Indian cloud market.
India & Mongolia Enhance Relations on 70 th Anniversary.
- On the visit of Mongolian President, India and Mongolia signed 10 MoUs on digital cooperation, heritage restoration, mineral exploration and immigration.
- Major arrangements are a regional alliance between Ladakh and the Arkhangai Province of Mongolia.
- India renewed its dedication to a USD 1.7 billion oil refinery in the Mongolian (the first major refinery) to be open by 2028.
- The Mongolian citizens were announced to be given free e-visas to enhance the people to people relations.
- Cultural and Digital Projects: India will digitalize a million ancient manuscripts in Mongolian language, dispatch a Sanskrit teacher, and connect Nalanda University with Gandan Monastery.
- International Support: Mongolia supported the Indian bid to become permanent UNSC member and became a member of the International Big Cat Alliance.
- In 2015, Ties had been upgraded to Strategic Partnership; the visit is a celebration of 70 years of diplomatic relations.
