India to Start U-19 World Cup 2026 Campaign vs USA in Bulawayo

Zimbabwe and Namibia Set to Co-Host 2026 U-19 Cricket World Cup

The ICC has confirmed that Zimbabwe and Namibia will jointly host the 2026 ICC U-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, marking a significant moment for African cricket development. Scheduled from 15 January to 6 February 2026 , the tournament will feature 16 teams , 41 matches and five venues spread across both nations.

India Drawn in Group A for the 2026 Campaign

India, the most successful team in U-19 World Cup history, has been placed in Group A alongside the USA, Bangladesh and New Zealand. All of India’s group-stage fixtures will be played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo . The young Indian team begins its tournament on January 15 against the USA , followed by Bangladesh on January 17 and New Zealand on January 24. As per the format, the top three sides from each group will progress to the Super Six stage, which will determine the semi-finalists.

Tournament Format and Group Breakdown

Group B features hosts Zimbabwe, Pakistan, England, and Scotland. Defending champions Australia lead Group C with Ireland, Japan and Sri Lanka, while Group D includes South Africa, West Indies, Afghanistan and first-time participants Tanzania. The Super Six phase will further shortlist the finalists.

The semi-finals will take place on 3 and 4 February , while the grand finale will be held at the Harare Sports Club on 6 February . Notably, reserve days are allotted for all knockout matches to prevent weather disruptions.
