- China’s Yao Qianxun (243.0) clinched the gold, followed by Ho Ching Shing (241.2) of Hong Kong-China with silver, and China’s Wei Qian (221.4) with bronze. Manu Bhaker finished seventh (139.5) after briefly leading the scoreboard with a 10.7 on her 13th shot before a costly 8.8 on Shot 14 ended her medal hopes. Esha Singh , who fired a solid 10.7 mid-round, placed sixth after slipping with an 8.4 during the critical elimination stage.
Team Performance and Qualification
- India’s women’s pistol team—comprising Esha Singh, Manu Bhaker, and Suruchi Inder Singh —secured team silver with a total score of 1740 . Esha qualified fourth (583) with a perfect 100 in her third series, while Bhaker qualified sixth (580) . World No.1 Suruchi Inder Singh scored 577 , placing 14th in a 99-shooter field.

- India currently ranks fifth on the medals table with one gold, three silver, and two bronze . Apart from the pistol event, Anish Bhanwala won silver in the 25m rapid-fire pistol , and Elavenil Valarivan earned bronze in 10m air rifle in Cairo.
