Urdu Edition of PM's Independence Day Speeches Released to Foster Linguistic Inclusion

NCPUL Publishes "Khutbat-e-Modi," Documenting a Decade of Red Fort Addresses for Wider Access

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan unveiled a special Urdu compilation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speeches given from the Red Fort from 2014 to 2025. The book, named “Khutbat-e-Modi: Lal Qila Ki Faseel Se,” seeks to make these significant national messages available to Urdu-speaking citizens, enhancing language inclusivity in official discourse.

Published by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL)—an autonomous body under the Education Ministry—the volume allows readers to access the PM’s annual vision directly, rather than through interpretations. Officials noted this enables better connection with themes like grassroots welfare (Antyodaya), cleanliness, unity, and national development.

During the launch, Minister Pradhan emphasized that such efforts bridge governance and the public, fostering inclusive dialogue. He urged NCPUL to produce more Urdu content on India’s cultural heritage and knowledge systems, suggesting the book be made available in libraries to aid students and researchers in understanding the Viksit Bharat vision.

Beyond language outreach, the compilation preserves a decade of policy emphasis and shifting national narratives from the Prime Minister’s flagship addresses. It underscores a commitment to equitable communication and engaging diverse linguistic communities in the country’s developmental journey.
