A Clean India Retaliatory Depression.
Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) is a new step in the cleanliness campaign in India, set to be completed by the year 2025. The Swachhata hi seva (SHS) yearly movement has become a kind of movement of the people which brings together people, government departments and civil society. The most recent issue, which is themed Swachhatsava, accentuates the idea of Antyodaya se Sarvodaya uplifting the marginalised towards collective development.
Key Highlights of SHS 2025

National Fervor: This was a 15-day campaign which concluded on the 2 nd October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Community awareness and cleaning movements were actively taken up by both urban and rural communities.

Shramdaan Spirit: On 25 th September 2025, the Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath project was initiated and millions of people volunteered to dedicate one hour of their services. It involved plogging, segregation of waste and beautification of places. Significantly, sanitation workers were accorded respect and honour over their crucial contribution.
Wastes and dumpsite regeneration.

Solid Waste Development: Urban waste in India is now treated in more than 81 percent compared to 16 per cent in 2014. Plants such as composting units, MRFs and waste-to-energy plants contribute to such attainment.

Dumpsite Remediation: It Remediated about about 58.0 percent of the legacy waste covering 7646 acres of land. These are successful stories such as the Bhalswa landfill in Delhi and the urban forest in Rajkot and how these areas that were once places of danger have turned out to be green.

Multi Minusives Action: Commerce- Agriculture and Ports to Parliamentary Affairs made cleanliness drives ecol movement and health camps.

New Paradigms: Jammu and Kashmir no-landfill Amarnath Yatra, handicrafts led by women in Assam and sealed-dumpsite implementing a green urban centre in Agra are examples of grass-root creativity.
Impact and Legacy

The 12 crores toilets constructed across the country have severely decreased child open defecation and wildlife has grown safeguarding of ladies as well.

There have been impressive results on public health and 3 lakh children have been saved because of better sanitation.

The mission now becomes more of a cultural movement instead of a campaign integrating the cleanliness in everyday life.
Towards 2047
Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 recreates the aim of Indian intentions to make cleanliness a national value. It connects health, dignity and sustainability which makes it a foundation towards a developed India by 2047.
