National Affairs

  • RBI Meeting: 619th Central Board meeting of the Reserve Bank of India held in Udaipur , chaired by Governor Sanjay Malhotra .

  • SBI: Launched annual employee excellence award ‘SBI STAR’ (Staff Talent Acknowledgement & Recognition).

  • Bank of Baroda: Paused plan to divest majority stake in Nainital Bank Limited ; to focus on strengthening the bank.

  • Digital Economy Milestone: UPI transactions hit a record ₹27.28 lakh crore (value) and 20.7 billion (volume) in October 2025 – NPCI data.

  • NIPL-Razorpay Partnership: NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL) partnered with Razorpay Curlec to enable UPI payments in Malaysia .

  • Trade Policy Update: India to resume import approvals from China and other nations , ending a 5-year freeze since 2020.

  • Ankathi Raju: Appointed Director, Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad .

  • Dr. M. Raghavendra Rao: Appointed Director, Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL) .


International Affairs

  • Afghanistan: To appoint its first official diplomat to India since Taliban takeover (August 2021).

  • Exercise ‘Poorvi Prachand Prahar’: Upcoming tri-service exercise (Army, Navy, Air Force) in Mechuka, Arunachal Pradesh .

  • OpenAI–AWS Deal: $38 billion, seven-year partnership to expand cloud infrastructure for AI development.

  • Russia: Successfully tested Burevestnik (9M730) nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed cruise missile with 14,000 km range , 15-hour flight duration .

  • Iran: Parliament approved removal of four zeros from national currency Rial to combat inflation.

  • China: Achieved world’s first thorium-to-uranium fuel conversion in a Thorium Molten Salt Reactor (TMSR) .
