The 5 th Coast Guard Global Summit (CGGS) , will be held at Chennai in India in 2027 to mark the 50 th anniversary of Indian Coast Guard . This was adopted unanimously at the 4th CGGS in Rome (2025) which was attended by 115 countries and international organisations . The summit will also serve as a significant venue to improve maritime cooperation, security, and the environment .
