The Telangana Rising Global Summit opened with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy outlining a transformative economic strategy aimed at positioning the state as one of India’s leading growth engines. Hosted at the proposed Bharat Future City , the two-day event showcased Telangana’s long-term commitment to sustainability, innovation and global partnerships.
A Vision for a Trillion-Dollar Economy
In his keynote address, the Chief Minister unveiled Telangana Rising 2047 , a roadmap developed through extensive consultation with citizens, academic institutions and policy bodies. The plan places Telangana on a trajectory to become a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 , effectively doubling its contribution to India’s GDP from 5% to 10%. The vision emphasises high-value services, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation agricultural systems.
A Truly Global Participation Platform
The summit featured nearly 2,000 delegates , including 154 international participants from 44 countries . Nobel laureates, policy thinkers and global industry leaders took part in discussions covering investment flows, innovation ecosystems and climate-aligned growth. The platform underscored Telangana’s intent to deepen global engagement and mobilise cross-border partnerships.
Bharat Future City: India’s Futuristic Growth Node
The venue symbolised the state’s forward-looking aspirations. Bharat Future City , designed as a 30,000-acre net-zero township , will host specialised clusters for technology, education, life sciences and advanced manufacturing. Proposed infrastructure upgrades — including a 40 km Metro extension — are aimed at creating one of the nation’s most investment-friendly urban ecosystems.
