Entrepreneur Srikanth Bolla , Founder and Chairman of Bollant Industries , has been conferred the Ramoji Excellence Youth Icon Award during the prestigious Ramoji Excellence Awards ceremony held in Hyderabad. The honour celebrates his inspirational journey marked by determination, innovation and an unwavering commitment to inclusive growth.

Recognition for Inclusive and Sustainable Leadership

Bolla, an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) , was recognised for creating a business model that empowers persons with disabilities and promotes eco-friendly manufacturing processes. His company, Bollant Industries, produces biodegradable and sustainable packaging solutions, demonstrating how industry can grow while supporting social responsibility.
Organisers praised him as a symbol of resilience who transformed challenges into opportunities, becoming a national role model for youth.

Honouring the Legacy of Ramoji Rao

The awards were instituted in memory of Cherukuri Ramoji Rao , founder of the Eenadu Group and a pioneer in Indian media. The ceremony witnessed the presence of national dignitaries, including the Vice-President of India , the Governors of southern states and the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana , underscoring the event’s national significance.

Celebrating Excellence Across Fields

Apart from Bolla, the event honoured several achievers. Notably, academician Sathupati Prasanna Sree received the Excellence in Art and Culture Award for developing scripts for 19 tribal languages , significantly contributing to the preservation of indigenous literature. Awards were also presented in social service, women’s leadership, rural development, journalism, technology and humanitarian initiatives.
