Infrastructure and Development.

• The inauguration of the first stage of the 19650 crore project, the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) was held. Business activities will commence in December 2025.

• The initial commercial electric truck battery swapping and charging station in India was launched in Haryana in Sonipat.
• To bring transparency and efficiency to the land administration of the urban areas, the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP) introduced the NAKSHA Programme.

Energy & Environment

• In the first half of 2025 India recorded a historic production of solar and wind energy.
• The Eighth ISA Assembly is to take place on October 27-30, 2025, in New Delhi.
• Larsen & Toubro (L&T) took a USD 700 million Sustainability-Linked Trade Facility (SLTF) with Standard Chartered Bank.

Economy, Banking & Finance

• The Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was introduced in the form of a retail sandbox.

• SEBI came with the use of so-called Validated UPI Handles (e.g.,.brk, .mf) to conduct transactions in the securities market safely.
• At GIFT City, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will commence the daily expiry GIFT Nifty contracts on foreign investors on October 13, 2025.
• Air India obtained a loan of $ 215 million to refinance the debt.
• The Ratings of Ratings declared that India had the sovereign rating of Baa3 and Stable Outlook.
• The World Trade Organization (WTO) reduced its prediction of 0.5 percentage growth of merchandise trade to 2026.
• The first integrated startup-investor marketplace in India, ideabaaz, was released at the NSE, Mumbai.
• According to a NABARD survey, 72.8 percent of rural households hope to have an increment in their income in the coming year.

Digital Initiatives Technology.

• Anthropic and IBM declared that they engaged in partnership in order to incorporate the Claude AI model in the enterprise software of IBM.

• The Google company increased its services of its AI-driven app builder, Opal, to 15 additional countries.
• SARAL, which is an AI-based tool used to streamline scientific research, was started by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Defence & Space

• Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, has given a very stern message to Pakistan not to provoke in the Sir Creek area.

• The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 was announced as the first Indian in the international space station (ISS), Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, as its brand ambassador.

Government Programs and appointments.

• Gyana Yagnya Mandap A digital library with the aim to store the rare records of the Jagannath Temple, Puri, was announced by the Odisha government.
