Uttar Pradesh Sets Diyas World Record in Ayodhya

 

  • Ayodhya created history during Deepotsav 2025 , setting two Guinness World Records and showcasing its spiritual and cultural grandeur.
Key Highlights:
  • Record-Breaking Display: A total of 26,17,215 oil lamps were lit along the Saryu River , creating a breathtaking sea of lights.

  • Largest Aarti Participation: 2,128 priests and devotees simultaneously performed Maa Saryu Aarti , verified through drone technology and official certification.

  • Cultural Attractions: The celebrations featured a laser and light show at Ram ki Paidi , a Ram Leela performance , a drone show , and grand fireworks .

Significance:
Organised by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department and District Administration , the event symbolised the victory of truth and dharma . Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath linked the celebration to the ongoing transformation of Ayodhya and the construction of the Ram Temple .

Deepotsav Growth:
Started in 2017 with 1.71 lakh lamps, Deepotsav has grown exponentially, culminating in over 26 lakh diyas in 2025—making it one of India’s most spectacular cultural festivals.
