	 -    The Government of India has launched  “Tourism Boost Vision 2029,”  an initiative to develop  50 world-class tourist destinations  across the country by 2029. The plan aims to highlight India’s cultural heritage, natural beauty, and modern infrastructure, creating globally competitive travel experiences.

	    Under the project,  each state and union territory  will nominate potential sites within a month. The selected destinations will be upgraded over the next  three to four years  , focusing on  sustainability, accessibility, infrastructure, and visitor experience.

	 -    The initiative is designed to convert India’s cultural and natural assets into  global tourism hubs  while boosting  local employment and small businesses.  Each region will have at least one flagship destination, ensuring balanced growth and representation nationwide.

	 -    By integrating heritage preservation with economic development, the programme aims to generate large-scale employment for  artisans, guides, and hospitality workers  , and attract  foreign investment  in eco-friendly tourism infrastructure.
