Goa has created a national benchmark in cybercrime management by becoming the first Indian state to ensure 100% response to cyber fraud calls , significantly strengthening citizen trust and real-time coordination in financial cybercrime reporting. The achievement comes through the state’s upgraded cloud-based 1930 Cyber Fraud Call Centre , designed to offer rapid assistance to victims of online financial crimes.

Breakthrough in Cyber Fraud Response

Since its launch, the call centre has handled over 5,000 calls , with 581 cases formally registered for investigation. Importantly, the system ensures that no call goes unanswered , with officers successfully returning nearly 1,500 missed calls , ensuring complete accessibility—a feat unmatched across India.

Advanced Infrastructure Enhancing Service Delivery

The 24×7 centre is manned by nine trained cyber personnel and supported by features such as automatic caller identification, high-clarity audio systems, cloud-based call logging, and continuous voice recording. These tools enable efficient documentation and faster complaint processing, especially in cases where immediate reporting is vital to freeze fraudulent transactions.

Quality Monitoring and Real-Time Oversight

All calls are monitored for service quality, with supervisors conducting routine evaluations. Senior officials can join calls in real time, intervene when necessary, and initiate conference calls with investigating teams. This private-sector model of oversight has helped improve courtesy standards, transparency, and victim support.
