Change of Exam Vendor:

• The replacement of TCS by Eduquity took place following a new tender process after the expiry of the contract by SSC.
• Eduquity is an outsourced test delivery partner , and therefore, has no access to question papers .

Multi-Agency Examination Model:

• According to the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
• Involves four distinct agencies of:
• Question paper setting
• Exam conduct
• Vigilance
• Security
• Intends to bring more transparency and integrity in exams .

Reduction of the Applicant Numbers Rationalized:

• Reduced drop ins (e.g. SSC CGL: 34 lakh -28 lakh ) because of Aadhaar-based authentication , eliminating redundant registrations.
• Avoidance Fascination with exams is still high.

Security & Logistics:

• Recruitment process such as SSC Constable attract almost 60 lakh applications , which are conducted in 300 locations under 30-40 shifts.
• SSC applies technology in dealing with impersonation and malpractice such as re-exam shifts to suspected candidates .

Answer Key Delays Addressed:

• Delays at the start because of a new audit system ; has been fixed.
• Equi-percentile technique employed to ensure fairness between shifts even when the questions are repeated.
