• To adopt the more advanced large language machine of Anthropic, Claude, into the IBM enterprise software platform.
• To create secure, controlled and high performance AI tools to be deployed business-wide.

Key Integration:

• Claude will be integrated into a new AI-first Integrated Development Environment (IDE) of managing enterprise software lifecycles.
• In private preview already with 6000 IBM developers and they have already reported about 45+% productivity improvements.

Features of the AI-First IDE:

• Application Modernization: Automated upgrades, framework migrations and multi phase code refactoring.
• Smart Code Generation: Code generation and reviewing support AI to comply with the enterprise architecture and comply.
• Workflow Orchestration: Deals with the complete software lifecycle, including programming and testing, and deployment and maintenance.
• Security-First Approach: It involves vulnerability scanning, FedRAMP hardening, and switching to quantum-safe cryptography.

Donation to the Open Standards:

• The IBM will become even more prominent within the Model Context Protocol (MCP) community.
• It will offer enterprise-proven practices, reference architecture, and open source tools to encourage interoperability and transparency in AI implementation.
