PM E-DRIVE EV Charging Infrastructure

 

Objective and Scope:
The PM E-DRIVE scheme is operational guidance issued by the Government of India, aiming to install more than 72,300 locations where people can charge their cars in public Electric Vehicles (EV) chargers across the country. The main idea is to facilitate EV adoption by removing the major obstacle of insufficient charging infrastructure in a systematic manner, thus minimizing range anxiety in prospective users.

Unmesha International Literature Festival and Cultural Legacy of Bihar

Event Overview:


The 3 rd an international literature festival was organized successfully in Patna, Bihar, between September 25 th and 28 th, 2025. It was a great meeting of poets, writers, scholars, and publishers representing an impressive range of more than 100 languages. The Honourable Vice-President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, paid the first official visit to the state at the valedictory ceremony.

NAVYA Project Empowers Girls in their teens with Vocational Training

In June 2025, the Government of India initiated the NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations by Vocational Training Girls in the Age of Youth) programme to equip adolescent girls with employability and self-reliance skills. The programme is a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) specifically in girls between the age of 16 to 18 years in the underserved and tribal areas. The pilot stage is expected to cover 3,850 girls and include both the technical training and life skills with the purpose of building confidence, independence, and entrepreneurship.

Food Grain Storage Infrastructure Advances 2025 in India

The bumper crop in India in 2024-25 has highlighted the importance of storage infrastructure in ensuring food security in the country. India is also one of the leaders as foodgrain production reaches almost 354 million tonnes, with over 117 million tonnes of wheat and 149 million tonnes of rice. Efficient storage will not only minimise the wastage but will also stabilise the prices and give farmers better returns. The storage network is a country-wide network of centralised warehouses, decentralised warehouses and cold storage facilities with specific government programmes to modernise and expand them.
