Trial MAITREE-XIV India-Thailand Ties Strengthening Exercise

Exercise MAITREE 14th edition started on 1 September 2025 in the Joint Training Node at Umroi, Meghalaya and lasted until 14 September. This two-way training between India and Thailand will help strengthen the military cooperation, interoperability and understanding, a sign of strengthening defence collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region.

NARI 2025 Insights Urban Women Safety in India

The National Annual Report and Index on Women Safety (NARI) 2025 reports the safety of urban women in India. The report surveys 12,770 women in 31 cities with a national safety rate of 65, but 40 percent believe they are not safe in their own cities. Among the issues mentioned are harassment, confidence in police officers, and differences in safety depending on age, place, and time of the day.

Operation SWARN-Rebuilding Swarnamukhi River of Andhra Pradesh
