Israel Unveils Ofek-19 Military Satellite

The launch of Israel's Ofek-19 satellite on 2 September 2025 is an important development in Middle East intelligence and defence. The new-generation reconnaissance satellite is equipped with all-weather, day and night surveillance capability on a routine basis through its Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology. That adds a capability in indigenous space-based intelligence and security coordination with allies, including the United States.

Vikram 3201-India First 32-Bit Space Microprocessor

India has also opened up the Vikram 3201 which is its first fully indigenous 32-bit microprocessor which will be used in space missions. The processor was developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in partnership with the Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Chandigarh, and is another significant addition to becoming self-reliant in high-end semiconductor technology.

Central Advisory Council Advances RERA Reforms
