PRATUSH Radiometer to Probe the Dawn of the Cosmos

 

The PRATUSH radiometer is a new generation space payload intended to research the Cosmic Dawn, when the earliest stars and galaxies were born. Constructed around a small single-board computer (SBC), which is only a credit-card size, the system will work in lunar orbit to watch faint 21-cm hydrogen line signals lost in Earth-based interference.

Joint Credit Mechanism shores up India-Japan Cooperation on Climate

India and Japan have signed Agreement on a Joint Credit Mechanism (JCM) as per Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement to broaden carbon trading, increase investments and speed up green innovation. The agreement comes amid the global supply chains disruptions, the US tariff increase on Indian products, and the Chinese ban on the export of rare earth minerals, providing India with an alternative to sustainable development and energy security.

India-US Joint Military Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2025 Starts in Alaska

On 1 September 2025, at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, the 21st edition of Exercise Yudh Abhyas, one of the bilateral military exercises between India and the United States, started. The drill will last through to 14 September and involve the troops of the Indian Army-led Madras Regiment and the US-led 1st Battalion 5th Infantry Regiment Bobcats of the Arctic Wolves Brigade Combat Team, 11th Airborne Division.
