UN Launches New Mechanisms for AI Governance

In 2025, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) developed two institutional apparatuses to enhance the international collaboration in the domain of artificial intelligence (AI) governance:

  • United Nations Independent International Scientific Panel on AI
  • Global Dialogue on AI Governance

These programs are meant to deal with the rapidly developing implications of AI on societies, economies, and ethics across the globe.

UN Launches Global Mechanism for Cyberspace Governance

The United Nations has introduced the Global Mechanism (GM) for Cyberspace, which is an ongoing platform to facilitate responsible state behavior over the internet. Jan Vishwas Bill 2025

The second step in the government legal reforms is the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025, that is being proposed in the Lok Sabha.
