The scheme reinforces India's animal health security and supplements the One Health framework.

India has got a go-ahead from the government for bidding for the 2030 Commonwealth Games with the proposed host city being Ahmedabad. The decision follows the Indian Olympic Association's approval and follows Canada's withdrawal from the process. The Commonwealth Sport General Assembly will determine the final host city in November 2025.
