The Kashmir fisheries department is planning to stock the cold waters of the Valley with brown trout this October in an attempt to reproduce the population of this fish besides expectant anglers.

India has voted in favour of a resolution of the United Nations General assembly adopting New York declaration, which urges for peaceful settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of two-state solution. The resolution had the support of 142 countries: 10 voted against and 12 abstained.

By launching its first fully indigenous secure mobile communication system called SAMBHAV, India has made a significant breakthrough in the defence technology. Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) is a programme introduced by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in September 2025 to allow faster and safe immigration clearance to pre-verified Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders.
