A technical evaluation conducted by the Tamil Nadu Coastal Restoration Mission, Suganthi Devadason Marine Research Foundation, and Indian Institute of Technology Madras reported a benefit-cost ratio (BCR) of 2.34, confirming the economic viability of nature-based coastal interventions.
