Overview
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the prestigious FAO Agricola Medal in Rome. The award was given by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. It recognises his work in sustainable agriculture, food security, and rural development. PM Modi dedicated the award to India’s farmers, whom he called annadata (food givers). He also thanked livestock rearers, fishers, scientists, and rural workers. This honour highlights India’s progress in farming and innovation.
