Scientists at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) have finally unraveled a mystery in river geomorphology--why some rivers pass in a single channel whereas others are separated into multiple threads. Based on tens of years of satellite records and state-of-the- art image processing, the research identifies the physical processes influencing these river environments; information that can be used in flood control, restoration, and ecosystem conservation.

The First Port-Based Green Hydrogen Project of India in VOC Port

India-Bhutan Energy Cooperation-Wangchhu Hydro Project 2025

Adani Group and Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) of Bhutan concluded a historic agreement in 2025 of the joint development of the 570 MW Wangchhu Hydroelectric Project. The estimated project worth is 6,000 crore and will be executed under Build, Own, Operate, Transfer (BOOT) model where construction should start early 2026 and is expected to be completed in five years. This project is a new phase in the centuries old energy relationship between India and Bhutan.
