Commissions Adamya-Class Fast Patrol Vessel of the Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) commissioned the most recently built ship, ICGS Adamya, on 19 September 2025 at Paradip Port, Odisha, and was an indigenous project. This is the beginning of the first of eight Adamaya-class Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) which have been designed and constructed by Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), yet again enhancing the maritime capability of India in the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The System for Pension Administration - Raksha (SPARSH) has become a pioneer project in the modernisation of the Indian defence pension administration. Since its introduction to eliminate the sluggish and discrepant legacy processes, SPARSH has become the largest digital pension platform in the world to serve defence personnel. It has also been able to onboard more than 31.5 lakh pensioners in India and Nepal by 2025, which guarantees efficiency, transparency and timely payment of pensions.

Dhordo Village goes 100 percent solar in Gujarat

The village of Dhordo in the Kutch district of Gujarat has gone entirely solar, and this is a significant step in the renewable energy process in India. Dhordo is already known as the Best Tourism Village acknowledged by UNWTO and is the fourth solar village in Gujarat after the previously mentioned Modhera, Sukhi and Masali. Prime minister Narendra Modi will devote this success on 20 September in the Samudra Se Samriddhi event, Bhavnagar.

Brazil is the biggest investor in Tropical Forest Forever Facility

Brazil has announced that it would be the first nation to commit in the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF) a novel multilateral fund that would help in conservation of endangered tropical forests. The project will be officially unveiled at a United Nations event in New York and the project will take center stage during COP30 that will be hosted by Brazil in Belem next November.
