Rs 100 Coin Released Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavans

Administrative Transition Marks New Governance Era

Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly designated Seva Teerth complex along with Kartavya Bhavan 1 and 2, signalling a major transformation in India’s administrative infrastructure. The naming of Seva Teerth reflects an emphasis on citizen-centric governance and public service orientation.

Commemorative Rs 100 Coin Issued

To mark the inauguration, the Ministry of Finance released a Rs 100 commemorative coin . The obverse features the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar , accompanied by the national motto. The reverse depicts the Seva Teerth complex alongside the phrase “Nagrik Devo Bhava,” highlighting governance rooted in public service values.

Administrative Relocation from Colonial-Era Blocks

The inauguration marks the gradual relocation of ministries from the historic North Block and South Block at Raisina Hill. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) , previously housed in South Block, has now shifted to Seva Teerth. Several key ministries traditionally operating from the two Blocks are being consolidated within the new facilities.

Integrated Governance Framework

Seva Teerth centralises critical administrative entities, including the PMO, National Security Council Secretariat, and Cabinet Secretariat. Kartavya Bhavans accommodate multiple ministries, enhancing inter-departmental coordination, operational efficiency, and public interface management.

Sustainability and Security Features

Both complexes comply with 4-Star GRIHA standards , incorporating renewable energy integration, water efficiency systems, and modern waste management technologies. Digitally enabled workspaces and advanced security systems reinforce resilience and administrative functionality.
