It is causing spontaneous internal and external bleeding.

 

India has the second-largest burden of haemophilia in the world.

 

GLP-1 receptor agonists

 

GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) are new drugs that are used to treat diabetes and obesity.

 

They are first discovered in the treatment of diabetes, act by stimulating the secretion of insulin and inhibiting the release of glucagon, thus assisting to control of blood sugar.

 

These drugs now also stimulate the reward system of the brain, which is a part of addiction.

Gold to be extracted in hybrid aerogel.

 

IISER Pune researchers have created a new hybrid aerogel that can be used to extract gold easily in electronic waste.

 

It may actually be employed in the e-waste management in addition to reducing the strain on the unsafe mining procedures.

 

During daytime, the hybrid aerogel was able to harvest 1689 mg / gram and 2349 mg / gram of e-waste and blue light respectively.

 

In recent years, the amount of electronic waste generated in India is increasing exponentially, despite the country having only 6.4 per cent of the global share.

 

The production of e-waste increased by 131 per cent between 2020 and 2022.

 

It has been estimated by the global e-waste monitor 2020 report that e-waste in India is increasing and will reach up to 74.7 million tonnes by the close of this decade.
