Einstein ring galaxy NGC 6505

Very recently, an Einstein ring was observed in the galaxy NGC 6505 by the Euclid space mission of the European Space Agency (ESA).

This is only half a billion lightyears away.

Strong gravitational lensing is a special case of an Einstein ring.

More than 80 years after Einstein had predicted it, astronomers found the first Einstein ring in 1998.

When a gravitational lens bends the light of a very distant object in the background, such as a star or a galaxy, the effect is an Einstein ring.

Simulated Lunar Soil, Silicon Carbide.

IIT-Madras have already managed to extract the silicon carbide of (simulated) moon soil.

The result may be the creation of silicon carbide-based materials to construct lunar habitats.

Silicon carbide is a mixture of carbon and silicon.

The earth has only received 382 kg of moon rocks and soil.

Thus, simulated lunar soil is prepared by the entities.

Silicon (together with other elements like aluminium and calcium) is also abundant in the Lunar highlands.

Inkathazo galaxy

The MeerKAT telescope in South Africa has found a new giant radio galaxy which is colloquially called Inkathazo meaning trouble.

The size of the cosmic megastructure is 3.3 million light-years.

It is 32 times bigger than our Milky Way galaxy and is 1.44 billion light-years distant to Earth.

Soon MeerKAT will join the Square Kilometre Array (SKA).

Indian neuromorphic device.

The Scientists have created a wearable device that can read strain and mimics the perception of pain and changes its electrical response to it.

Neuromorphic devices present numerous concepts of how the human body perceives pain and reacts to it.

The device has been created based on the silver wire network on a stretchable surface.

Quantum Teleportation

The researchers were able to quantum teleport logical gates.

Qubits (quantum bits) replace the classical computer bits in quantum computers.
