State symbol of Home Ministry
- Union Home Ministry has requested the State governments to block the misuse and misrepresentation of the State Emblem of India.
- It is underlining that the Lion Capital Logo cannot be deduced without the motto which is Satyamev Jayate, written in Devanagari script.
- The application is obligated by the design as given in the Appendix I & Il of the Schedule of the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005.
- The Emblem contains the profile view of the Lion Capital that reveals the Three Lions ride on the abacus, a Dharma Chakra in the Centre, a bull on the right, a running horse on the left and a sketch of the Dharma Chakra at the extreme right and the extreme left.
- Also the motto of Satyameva Jayate - in the Devanagari script under the profile of the Lion Capital.
Gyan Bharatam Mission 2025
- The Union Budget 2025 also allowed the Gyan Bharatam Mission (at the level of the National Manuscripts Mission (NMM)).
- The survey, documentation and conservation of the manuscript heritage of India is a special mission.
- The ‘Gyan Bharatam Mission’ is to take up the process of the “survey, documentation and conservation” of the manuscript heritage of India of the academic institutions, museums, libraries, and the individual collectors.
- NMM is currently a constituent of the Indira Gandhi National Centre of arts.
- It was established in 2003.
Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak scheme
- Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak Scheme was announced by the Union Budget 2025.
- It is a new project to make available digital books in Indian languages to the student of school education as well as to higher education.
- This plan is to facilitate learning as learning material will be available in regional languages.
- In this plan, all students in schools and Universities will receive textbooks and learning materials in electronic versions.
- The decision follows the initiative of the government to introduce the technology in the education process as well as significant linguistic diversity.
National Manufacturing mission 2025
- The small, medium and large industries will be established by the central government with an aim of clean tech manufacturing.
- The mandate of this mission will contain five areas of focus which are ease and cost of doing business, up skilling of jobs in demand, MSMEs, accessibility of technology and quality products.
- This will offer policy backing, implementation plans, governing and tracking plans at central ministries and states.
- The scheme will assist in the design capacity, the components that are produced as well as the machinery that is involved in the production of non-leather quality footwear in addition to the support to the leather products.
- It will also, be concerned with the creation of clusters, skills as well as a manufacturing eco-system which is going to produce toys of high standards, which are different, innovative as well as sustainable.
- India wants to see a growth in its manufacturing as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) to 25 per cent compared to the current 17 per cent.
SWAMIH Fund 2.0
- Union has constituted a Rs 15, 000-crore budgetary provision to the second tranche of Special Window for Affordable and Mid-Income Housing (SWAMIH) Fund.
- It will assist in completion of one lakh units of dwelling.
- The Ministry of Finance is the funding body of SWAMIH Fund.
- It is developed to debts finance the stressed and brownfield residential ones.
- SWAMIH fund was launched in 2019 and is run by SBICAP Ventures Ltd, a State bank Group company.
- So far there are nearly Rs 15,500 crore raised under the first tranche of the SWAMIH Fund.
- This amount will help do priority debt funding in housing stalled and Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) registered residential projects under affordable and mid-income categories.
- Their net worth should be positive to receive the funding but will need last mile funding to make sure the funding is closed.
Cotton Mission 2025, Five years
- It will also boost the cotton productivity particularly that of the extra long staple variety.
- Farmers will be given support in terms of Science & Technology under this Mission.
- It is in line with the 5 F principle and will enhance income of the farmers and add continued supply of quality cotton.
- This program will stabilise the availability of raw materials in the country as well as improve the competitiveness of the Indian textile industry globally as it enhances the productivity within the country.
- Two additional categories of shuttles-less looms to the category of full exemption textile machinery was included to facilitate the production in the country of products of technicaltextiles in the form of Agro-textiles, medical textiles and geo textiles in areas of low cost and competitively.
- In the Budget the Ministry of Textiles was allocated an outlay of Rs 5272 crores (Budget Estimates) in 2025-26.
Lengthening of Skill India mission 2025
- The Union Cabinet granted the extension and restructuring of the Central Sector Scheme, Skill India Programme(SIP), up till 2026.
- These three main components which were earlier merged into the composite Central Sector Scheme are now merged together into the scheme of Skill India Programme.
