In addition to gallantry honours, the President approved 301 military decorations this year. These include Param Vishisht Seva Medals , Ati Vishisht Seva Medals , and Yudh Seva Medals for distinguished service. Furthermore, 98 personnel were Mentioned-in-Despatches for their roles in operations such as Operation Rakshak , Operation Meghdoot , Operation Rhino , and for lifesaving efforts including rescue and casualty evacuation missions.
Together, these honours reflect the breadth of commitment and sacrifice across India’s defence services and reinforce the nation’s enduring respect for those who safeguard its security.
