The complex also includes conference facilities, an amphitheatre and a library, positioning it as a hub for cultural exchange, research and tourism. Prime Minister Modi also addressed a joint session of the Ethiopian Parliament , earning a standing ovation. This marked the 18th national parliament addressed by him worldwide. The two-day visit, at the invitation of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali , reflected the momentum in bilateral ties. In a notable gesture of warmth, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed personally received PM Modi at the airport and accompanied him to key sites, including the Science Museum and Friendship Park.
