Lower Kopili Hydropower Project Strengthens Clean Energy in Northeast India

The Prime Minister recently inaugurated the Lower Kopili Hydroelectric Project through a virtual ceremony. The Lower Kopili Hydroelectric Project is a 120 megawatt run-of-river hydropower facility developed in the basin of the Kopili River . The project site lies across the West Karbi Anglong district and Dima Hasao district , both located in central Assam.
