  • PM Modi heads to Abu Dhabi for strategic talks
    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fly to  Abu Dhabi tomorrow (May 15)  for a meeting with  UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan . The agenda is packed – energy security, artificial intelligence, and deepening the  Comprehensive Strategic Partnership  – all against a backdrop of rising geopolitical tensions in the region.

  • Big push for coal gasification
    The  Union Cabinet  has approved a massive  ₹37,500 crore scheme  to promote  surface coal and lignite gasification  projects. The goal? Help India achieve its target of gasifying  100 million tonnes of coal by 2030 , while cutting dependence on imported LNG and fertilisers. A bold step towards energy self‑reliance.

  • India hosts BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting

So far, there are  eight confirmed and probable cases , prompting urgent international contact tracing and coordinated response measures across  Europe and South Africa . A reminder that viruses don't need passports.

    Disruptions in  West Asian maritime corridors  continue to shake energy supply chains. Regional stability remains a top global concern, with no immediate signs of de‑escalation.
