Day 3 of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, combined large-scale public engagement with strategic announcements from leading global technology firms. Deliberations centred on Responsible AI, digital infrastructure, talent development and expansion of computing capacity, reflecting India’s evolving role in AI governance and deployment.

Guinness World Record Achievement

Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that India secured a Guinness World Records title for the highest number of pledges received for an AI responsibility campaign within 24 hours. A total of 250,946 validated pledges were recorded between February 16 and 17. The initiative mobilised students and academic institutions nationwide, underscoring efforts to promote ethical AI adoption alongside innovation.

Google’s Connectivity and Innovation Push

Google introduced the “America-India Connect” initiative aimed at strengthening global fibre-optic connectivity. The programme proposes new strategic routes linking the United States, India and regions across the Southern Hemisphere, supported by expanded subsea cable capacity and a new international gateway in India.

Additionally, Google announced two challenge funds of $30 million each. One will focus on AI-driven government innovation to enhance public service delivery, while the second will support AI applications in scientific research. Partnerships in digital skilling and capacity-building were also outlined.

Microsoft reaffirmed plans to invest $50 billion by 2030 to expand AI accessibility across Global South economies. OpenAI unveiled collaborations with premier Indian institutions, including IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad and AIIMS New Delhi, targeting responsible AI integration across campuses.

Yotta Data Services announced investments exceeding $2 billion in advanced Nvidia GPUs to establish a large-scale AI computing hub, signalling India’s growing focus on domestic compute infrastructure.
