IN-SPACe Leads Indian Delegation to Space Meetings Veneto 2026

Overview

IN-SPACe, India’s space regulator, led a team of nine Indian space companies to an event in Venice, Italy. The event was called Space Meetings Veneto 2026. It took place on 16–17 May 2026. The Indian team was led by Dr. P.K. Jain. The companies signed new deals with Italian firms. This will help India and Italy work together in space technology.

What Is IN-SPACe?

IN-SPACe stands for the  Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre . It works under the Department of Space. Its job is to:

  • Regulate private space activities in India.

  • Authorise space projects by non-government companies.

  • Help Indian firms join the global space economy.


Which Indian Companies Went to Venice?

Nine Indian companies took part in the event. Here is the full list:

  2. Astrobase Space Technologies

  3. VyomIC

  4. Suhora

  5. Kepler Aerospace

  6. Hyspace Technologies

  7. TakeMe2Space

  8. Jarbits Pvt Ltd

  9. Dhruva Space

Note:  Astrobase Space Technologies is based in  Karnataka . Dhruva Space works on satellite systems and space infrastructure.


Agreements Signed in Venice

The Indian companies signed several agreements with Italian partners.

Kepler Aerospace Apogeo Space Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS), satellite collaboration, CubeSat systems, payload tech, mission operations

All these agreements were signed on or around  16 May 2026 .


India–Italy Space Cooperation

This visit was not a one-time event. It is part of a bigger plan. The  India–Italy Joint Strategic Action Plan  covers the years  2025 to 2029 . This plan was announced during the
