Delhi Launches CM Shri Schools with AI-Driven Education Model

Rekha Gupta Inaugurates India’s First AI-Integrated Public School Framework

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the CM Shri School at Sarojini Nagar, signalling the rollout of what authorities describe as India’s first AI-driven comprehensive public education model. Simultaneously, foundation stones were laid for 75 CM Shri Schools across the national capital. The initiative is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 , emphasising digital integration, skill development and equitable access to quality education.

Policy Framework and Governance Vision

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood, alongside educators, officials, parents and students. The programme reflects Delhi’s strategy to operationalise NEP principles through modernised school infrastructure and technology-enabled pedagogy.

CM Shri Schools are envisioned as centres of excellence designed to deliver high academic standards while reducing disparities between public and private schooling ecosystems.

Infrastructure and Social Equity Focus

Officials stated that the schools will offer facilities comparable to premium private institutions, targeting students from economically weaker, lower and middle-income groups. The model seeks to strengthen inclusivity while enhancing educational competitiveness.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the initiative represents a structural transformation rather than a conventional expansion of school buildings.

AI-Enabled Learning Ecosystem

A defining component of the framework is AI-enabled smart classrooms equipped with interactive panels, adaptive digital content and real-time analytics. Artificial intelligence tools will facilitate personalised learning pathways based on student performance and comprehension patterns.

A dedicated digital portal has also been introduced to support preparation for national-level competitive examinations, including JEE, NEET, CUET, CLAT and NDA. The platform integrates online assessments, progress monitoring and structured learning modules.
