The United Arab Emirates has made significant gains in transport innovation by the introduction of its first Sovereign Mobility Cloud in the Dubai World Congress of Self-Driving Transport that took place in 2025. The platform is built based on the Sovereign Public Cloud developed on Core42, run on Microsoft Azure, this way all data created on autonomous mobility solutions are geographically hosted on the territory of the UAE and are subject to local legislation.
