India becomes a member of Interpol Asian Committee to enhance local security

This has been a major milestone in the international law enforcement by India being elected to membership in Interpol Asian Committee in the 25th Asian Regional Conference held at Singapore. This is manifested by the election, which had gone through a tedious multi-stage voting process and India has started to gain momentum in addressing the issue of global security. India, through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), will assume an important role in the course of coordinated security efforts in the Asia region.

India-Brazil Agritech Partnership: Maitri 2.0 Enhances World Food Security

India and Brazil have made a big leap into building their agricultural relationship as the second version of the Brazil-India Cross-Incubation Programme in Agritech known as Maitri 2.0 was launched. This initiative that was unveiled in New Delhi under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will participate in the encouragement of innovation, co-creation and sustainable solution in the agribusiness world. It indicates the long-term cooperation between the two states that are over 77 years.

Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan The largest tribal grassroot level movement in India

The ministry of tribal affairs in India has created the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, which was introduced in 2025 in cooperation with the United Nations in India, and is being touted as the largest tribal grassroots leadership movement in the world. The campaign will turn governance into a people's movement and make the voice of the tribals central to the growth story of India, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 September 2025 on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh.

The Fishing Cat is a rare species that was found at Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve

The first confirmed sighting of the elusive Fishing Cat ( Prionailurus viverrinus ) was reported to be in the Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve (RVTR) in Rajasthan. This discovery was made at the captured camera traps on a regular tiger check in the Bundi district and brings about the concealed biodiversity of the reserve and the flourishing aquatic environment.

New Species of Impatiens Discovered in the Western Ghats

A group of scientists at Madura College, Madurai have discovered a new plant species in the Kudremukh range of the Western Ghats in Karnataka. The plant was named Impatiens selvasinghii in honor of the efforts by Professor P. Selva Singh Richard in the reproductive biology of endangered and endemic plants in the area. This not only shows the spectacular richness of the Western Ghats but also indicates some serious conservation concerns raised by the increasing levels of tourism.
