World Trade Report 2025 by WTO AI as a Growth and Trade Engine

The World Trade Organization (WTO) 2025 World Trade Report, points out the revolutionary impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in the redesign of the global economy by 2040. The report found that when countries implement an inclusive policy to bridge the digital divide it would raise the global trade by almost 40 per cent and increase the world GDP by 12-13 per cent with the utilization of AI.

India ILO Cooperation in International Classification of Occupations

The Government of India and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on developing International Reference Classification of Occupations in a big step towards increasing the employment opportunities around the world. This collaboration will help address skill gaps due to digital transformation and demographic changes, as well as meet the G20 pledge of designing skills-based migration pathways to the youth.

Light After 80 Years Birhor Tribe is given Hope of Electrification

The hamlet of Fulwariya of the Koderma district of Jharkhand received electricity after nearly 80 years and this changed the lives of the approximately 550 people living there most of whom are the Birhor tribe. The laying of a 63 KVA transformer under the Ujjwala Yojana signified the end of decades of darkness and marked a new dawn of prospects in education and healthcare and livelihood.

Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan Empowering Women and Families with Health

On 17 September 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the largest-ever health outreach program the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA), exclusively targeting women and children in India. This campaign (through to 2 October 2025) will involve more than 10 lakh health camps in the country, which will deal with preventive health, early diagnosis, and awareness.

HFMD Transmitted in Children in Delhi-NCR

This is Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD), a viral illness that is widespread among children, and is spreading quickly in Delhi and the neighbouring state, Haryana, in 2025.
