India Launches 25,000 Crore Export Promotion Mission

To combat global trade pressures such as the recent US tariff increase to 50 per cent on Indian goods, the Government of India will launch 25,000 crore Export Promotion Mission (EPM) to be rolled out by 2025-2031, associated to increase exports and cushion businesses against global trade challenges.

India-The Industrial Output is increasing by 3.5percent in July 2025.

Index of Industrial Production (IIP) indication was up 3.5 percent in July 2025, compared with the same month last year, and this is better compared to the revised figure of 1.5 in June 2025. The total IIP was 155.0 as compared to 149.8 in July 2024, indicating increased performance in the manufacturing sector.

India Inaugurates Semiconductor OSAT Pilot Line in Gujarat

India made a significant step in its semiconductor endeavor with the launch of Semiconductor OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) Pilot Line Facility located at Sanand, Gujarat. The plant is a part of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) as it enhances the drive of the country to become self-reliant in chip production as a part of the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

India Trials Unproven Homegrown Integrated Air Defence.

India has made an all-indigenous success with the first test of an Integrated Air Defence Weapon System (IADWS) off the coast of Odisha. The system will identify and counter enemy aircraft, drones, and missiles at a range of up to 35 km, which will become a significant milestone in the layered air defence of India.
