India Wins 9th Asia Cup in a Thrilling Final With Pakistan

India broke its record by becoming the ninth winner of the Asia Cup by beating its arch-rivals Pakistan with a narrow five-wicket margin in a tense final at the Dubai International Stadium. India, who were chasing a small goal of 147, came back after a failure of the top-order to beat Pakistan, the first India-Pakistan final in 41 years in Asia Cup.

India Sheetal Devi Wins Gold at 2025 World Para Archery Championship-Highlights

Historic Achievement

  • Indian archer Sheetal Devi (18) took her maiden individual gold medal at the Women Compound Open at the 2025 World Para Archery Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
  • She beat Oznur Cure Girdi (a 3 time world champion and Paralymptic gold medallist) of Turkiye 146-143 in the final.
  • This is a great milestone in the history of the Indian para sports, which has shown competitiveness and strength in the global arena.

Para Athletics Championship 2025 12 th world kicks off in New Delhi

The 12 th World Para Athletics Championship 2025 took off in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN), New Delhi and this is the first time that India hosted such a grand global event. The championship lasts till the 5th of October, 2025 and will be hosting over 1,000 para- athletes representing over 100 nations, with an Indian team of more than 70 athletes.
