CBIC’s GST & Customs Pavilion Wins Gold for Public Outreach at IITF 2025

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has been awarded the Gold Prize in the ‘Public Outreach and Communication’ category at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 . The recognition applauds CBIC’s innovative, interactive and citizen-centric approach in showcasing GST and customs reforms to the public.

Theme and Public Engagement

Held from 14 to 27 November 2025 , the Pavilion was centred around the theme “Next-Gen GST: सरल कर, खुशहाल राष्ट्र” , reflecting the government’s focus on simplified indirect taxation. The exhibit drew widespread appreciation for its accessible presentation style and high-quality visitor engagement. Taxpayers, industry players, youth groups and the general public participated actively, contributing to the pavilion’s strong footfall.

Key Interactive Features

Designed as an immersive learning environment, the Pavilion offered hands-on support through eight dedicated helpdesks providing guidance on GST registration, refund processes, return filing, customs procedures and grievance resolution. Digital panels showcased recent GST and customs reforms, while multilingual videos—available in 10 regional languages, Hindi and English —ensured easy comprehension for diverse audiences.

Awareness Activities for Visitors

To make tax-related concepts more engaging, the Pavilion organised quizzes, puppet shows, magic acts, caricature booths, VR-based games and themed selfie corners. Specialised sessions introduced students to potential career opportunities within CBIC and the field of revenue administration.
