Traditional medicine will still be very important in the healthcare of the world in 2025. It is also strongly practised by 88% of the member states of the World Health Organization. Traditional medicine is often the main choice of healthcare as it is cheap and accessible to many billions of people, especially in the low- and middle-income countries. It promotes biodiversity, nutrition and livelihoods besides healthcare. The world market is performing well; its sales are projected to reach 583 billion growing 10 to 20 percent rate/year. There is the shift in areas such as China, Australia and India where major sectors are taken up by these countries demonstrating the movement of the world to preventive health care.
