• Preetismita Bhoi, a 16-year-old weightlifter from Dhenkanal, Odisha, has made India proud by winning gold in the 44 kg category at the 3rd Asian Youth Games held in Bahrain. She set new Asian and World Youth records in the clean and jerk event with a remarkable lift of 92 kg, achieving a total of 158 kg.

India has begun Trishul 2025, a major tri-Service combat exercise involving the Army, Navy, and Air Force along the western border with Pakistan. The large-scale drill aims to test joint combat readiness amid renewed tensions around the Sir Creek region.
